Practice Heart Coherence - Cardiofeedback training

Heart Coherence is a simple technique of rhythmic breathing that can be practiced 3x6 minutes a day to obtain measurable results and lasting benefits.

The benefits of Heart Coherence

To keep steady in this increasingly complex and challenging world it is essential as in top-level sport to include regular moments of effective recovery.  This is called "active rest".

The Heart Coherence method is easy to apply, takes little time, is scientifically based and can be measured with biofeedback. With a specific rhythmic breathing that you only need to apply 3x6 min. per day you will have a direct influence on your recovery, rest and balance. The effects are not only measurable, but also sustainable.

Many organisations and companies have integrated Heart Coherence into their policy of resilience and burnout prevention, in France, The Netherlands, UK… and the more and more also in Belgium.

How can you start applying Heart Coherence in your organisation?

Option A - Discovery session – 1,5 hr

In a practical information session of 1.5 hours you will learn the basics of stress management, resilience and Heart Coherence. There are several demonstrations with biofeedback, measuring the effect of heart coherence in real time. You can experience at first hand in a very practical way what heart coherence exactly does to you. After the session, each participant can get started with practising Heart Coherence by means of an app that we will download during the session.

Modalities: 1h30 – groups of 15-20 persons (larger groups also possible)

Option B - Practical workshops – 2 half days of 4 sessions of 2 hrs

How can we ensure that people are motivated to really apply the method in a sustainable way in their daily lives? This requires progressive learning. In our specifically developed four-step plan, participants have the opportunity to deepen the concepts and their understanding, to assimilate the practical tips and, above all, to practice actively, including between the different sessions. During the workshop sessions, participants will regularly work with biofeedback. It is not only about "seeing" but also about experiencing the benefits. This is the added value of this progressive learning option. It allows you and your team members to take ownership of a practice that provides lasting effects for personal and organisational well-being.

On request we can develop a joint action plan on how to best integrate the approach into your organisation.

Modalities:

  • 2 half days (with two weeks in between) or 4 sessions of 2 hours every 2 weeks

  • Groups max. 12 participants

  • Participants are asked to practice between the two days of training, max 3 x 3 minutes per day, for real learning.

  • A questionnaire at the beginning and end of the training will assess the level and symptoms of (perceived) stress - the collective result will be shared.

Option C - Individual coaching

If necessary and requested, the above options can be followed by one or more individual sessions. This is beneficial in adapting the approach to the staff member’s needs, as well as in reintegration situations after a burnout.
